Be the Light!

Today I have a challenge for you! BE WHAT YOU ARE.

If you are born again, you are light. This is verified by multiple sources. The first being Jesus speaking to His creation.  “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Mat 5:14). Second source is Paul. “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light” (Eph 5:8) . Lastly we know that when we are born again, it's not of ourselves. We put on the image of Jesus and He as well is Light! “Then Jesus spoke again to them, saying, I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (Jhn 8:12). Here is a huge key In all of these scriptures. Light in all three is the same exact word in the greek. Did you hear me, Jesus is the Light, is the same light as he calls us! G5457, PHOS which means: to shine or make manifest!

What we see in Ephesians 5:8-14 is Paul addressing the church and reminding them to stop wrestling, stop submitting and stop being in any way changed or controlled by darkness. Light does not struggle with darkness. What this comes down to for us is application. You may have areas of your life that are still not lit up. Today, let's let that light in! Be what Jesus has made you, He is the Light of the world and He has called you into that glorious light!

-Light be over shame in Jesus name.

-Light be over immorality in Jesus name.

-Light be over drunkenness in Jesus name.

-Light be over hatred in Jesus name.

-Light be over insecurity in Jesus name.

-Light be over death in Jesus name.

Eph 5:8  For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light

Eph 5:9  (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth),

Eph 5:10  proving what is acceptable to the Lord.

Eph 5:11  And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Eph 5:12  For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.

Eph 5:13  But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.

Eph 5:14  Therefore he says, "Awake, sleeping ones! And arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light."
